New report shows downtown Tampa experiencing significant growth

August 27, 2014

Released on Monday, the Florida Retail Report, authored by the CBRE Group, a commercial real estate services and investment firm, explored the rate of growth in different areas of Florida. According to the report, Tampa is the second fastest-growing downtown area among cities in Florida, behind only Orlando.

The report found that Tampa has experienced a 14.5 percent rate of growth between 2000 and 2012. Miami experienced the third fastest rate of growth, with a rate of 14.2 percent, followed by Jacksonville at 13.7 percent.

The report was presented at the International Council of Shopping Centers Conference in Orlando, and included other positive news for Florida organizations. According to the report, retail sales rose 8 percent to $6.1 billion across the state from June 2013 to June 2014.

The Florida Retail Report could offer some explanation as to why office space in Tampa  is growing steadily more expensive. However, organizations that are looking for a new base of operations in Tampa should not be discouraged, as cost-effective solutions still exist.

A Tampa virtual office solution allows organizations access to the many benefits of basing your business in the city, without the considerable expenses of office space, furnishings and parking. A virtual office allows organizations the ability to coordinate and communicate effectively from anywhere, without sacrificing productivity.

Of course, many organizations will still occasionally need space to meet with clients or to discuss business processes. At On Point Executive Center's waterfront Tampa meeting rooms, your meetings can be conducted in style and comfort and benefit from the latest technologies, including our state-of-the-art 70 inch touchscreen smartboard.

On Point is committed to helping your business grow and achieve success, which is why we offer competitive pricing and allow clients to choose their ideal service "a la carte," meaning that your organization pays for only critical services.
