Halloween continues to prove to be a holiday favorite with all of its tricks, treats, and decor.  Be sure to take advantage of the day by implementing one or more of these business boosters!

Trick-Or-Treaters Welcome!

Trick-or-treating isn’t just for kids anymore. Anytime throughout the month, put on a costume, open your door and pass out goodies to passersby. (Check out our Pinterest Board for office costume ideas!) How about pairing your Halloween treat with a coupon that encourages shoppers to come back for a discount on their Thanksgiving or Christmas purchases?

Decorate any real estate that is visible to the public from outside your establishment

Put festive wares in your front window even if you are not in retail.  An engineers office, law office or even hardware store can take advantage of the holiday by spiffing up their windows with some frightening decor.

Upsell opportunities

Make sure your counter areas are stocked with Halloween-themed goodies, such as candy corn, chocolates or small pumpkins. These are easy add-ons for a holiday with such a big focus on treats!

Host an online costume contest

Each year we encourage our members to send in photos of their children in their Halloween costumes.  We host an online costume contest and award prizes.

Capture email addresses with a raffle.

Create a fun Halloween-themed raffle in your store and have customers enter by filling out a slip of paper with their contact information, including their email address. Update your records with the email addresses you capture and be sure to include them in your holiday promotions.
