This Valentine’s Day, Bring the Spark Back into Your Virtual Business!
With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, you may be starting to rearrange your priorities to focus on the things you love. And you may have found that your virtual business is low on that list. If you no longer feel the love, and have been considering some time away from your business, we have some tips to help you rejuvenate your love for your virtual business!
Take that break!
In a relationship, taking a break from each other can sometimes be the worst thing that you can do. But when running a business, taking that leap and saying, “Someone else can handle this today!” and getting out of town can be just what the doctor ordered. Don’t worry about your business for once. Taking a guilt-free vacation, rather than dreading getting out of bed in the morning, can sometimes remind you of the fire you once had for your business. Re-light that fire and get to work. After all, absence does make the heart grow fonder!
Go back to your roots
Remember that first night you sat up thinking about become an entrepreneur? The butterflies in your stomach when you told your bestie that you were quitting to start your new life? Recreate that. Try and think of all the reasons why you wanted to do this in the first place. If that’s not enough…
Write a Love Letter
If thinking about it isn’t enough, write it down! Writing down a goal means you’re 42% more likely to remember it. Write that you want to love your business. And then write why. Those reasons you had for wanting to create this business in the first place were good enough for you to venture into the unknown back then, why not now? What made you fall in love with your business? What destiny was your business fated to have? Reiterate all the things that your business offers and the importance of your product or service. Who would miss it if it were gone?
Picture your future together
You probably did this before every big date, so why not for your business? Think about the perfect version of your company. Where do you want to be? Create a flowchart of your company’s structure from the beginning of a sale to the end of providing the service or product. Draw a heart around every spot that brings you joy in the flowchart. Love it a lot? Big heart. Love it just a little? Teeny, tiny heart. Everything that doesn’t have a heart is something that you no longer love. For example, maybe you adore coaching your clients in your consulting company, but it’s the billing and bookkeeping that has you wanting to stay in bed. Hand those tasks off to someone else and voila! You should love what you actually do a lot more.
We hope that this post helps bring the spark back into your business!
