Office Pranks in Prep for April Fools

April 1st is that one of year you can initiate some good clean fun (and get away with it) around the office. Ready or not, April Fools’ Day is right around the corner. Here are some ideas we love for pulling pranks on your boss or coworkers:

Create a printer monster—

This is easy and cheap way to startle unsuspecting persons at the office printer. Simply cut out teeth and eyes from a blank piece of paper and tape them to the output area. When they reach for the papers, they will have to face the wrath of the printer monster!

Make or purchase a REALLY!? Office Stamp—

Whether we would like to admit it, we have all secretly wished for this amazing invention. This is perfect for any stupid, ridiculous and annoying paperwork or people that we have all encountered at some time or another. If something comes through your desk fitting that description, VIOLA! You will get your point across and hopefully a few laughs.

Phony voice-over instructions—

We live in an age where technology is becoming more convenient by the minute. There are 70’’ smart boards with touch screens and smart phones that dial in response to voice commands. This prank is sure to “out-smart” someone! This would be perfect for a client with a virtual office or for someone who always seems to be the last to know about updates around the office. Send an email with instructions, notifying your clients of updates coming to the office. Print and post this sign at your copy machine. Have your phone set to record! You might just capture something worthy of America’s Funniest Videos (or at least a great replay at the staff appreciation party).
